I am responsible for the IT systems used in the IBIS-II trial, including randomisation and I also perform any code-breaks. The other trial I'm closely involved in is the UK trial of screening for bowel cancel by the use of flexible sigmoidoscopy. I have been working in the department since 1984 when it was a quiet place and the largest study was the follow up of a cohort of 20,000 women who had been diagnosed with benign breast disease at Guy’s hospital, to see who subsequently went on to develop breast cancer.
